Master Data Specialist – Transfer Pricing

Position Description:
The job objective of this role includes operational transfer pricing for our client
including (but not limited to):

  • Calculation & maintenance of material by material tangible goods transfer prices on a global basis.
  • Analysis of certain profit level indicators.
  • Support with M&A related value chain structuring and other restructuring projects.
  • Support with the further development of the calculation engine.
  • Day-to -day management of the Operational tangible goods transfer pricing.
Your main duties would be:

  • Work independently in the field of Operational transfer pricing of tangible goods transactions. This includes the tool based material by material tangible goods transfer price calculation & maintenance along the implemented value chains within our client group. Sometimes, this might include tool based mass adjustments of material by material transfer prices in SAP.
  • Perform the monitoring and analysis of certain profit levels such as net/gross margin but also the profitability of products offered to customers for our client and on a country by country basis.
  • Support with the further development resp. enhancement of the calculation engine (algorithm) which is used for the calculation of the tangible goods transfer prices.
  • Prepare management reports for the company’s management based on available data sources (SAP Business Warehouse, SQL queries and others).
  • Report work results and process changes in to Master data Manager.
  • Check intercompany invoices in the currently used system, verify forms of purchase and forms of utilization of materials within the granted approval limits.
  • Control the correctness of the accounting records and other data in the SAP system or any other system currently in use and responsible for explaining the discrepancies.
  • Prepare and verify documents for internal and external auditors.
  • Respond to internal customer questions in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for compliance with SOX procedures.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, employees of other departments and business partners.
 
Position Requirements:

  • Degree in Economics, Finance or Business Administration or comparable qualification.
  • Good understanding of financial transactions from an Accounting and Controlling perspective.
  • Minimum 1 years of transfer pricing or relevant economics experience.
  • Very good knowledge of English language.
  • Understanding of the Transfer pricing methodologies applied for tangible goods transfer pricing.
  • Strong numeracy skill set.
  • Very good knowledge of MS-Office especially MS-Excel.
  • Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems.
  • Dotted reporting line to Global Tax Director.
